Tim Manchester: Tim and Clay have been the GIS, GPS backbone of this program since it started. He volunteered as a sophomore to go to Sacramento with Miss Ciancio / Merz and study GIS with Malcolm and Bonnie of the Center for Advanced Spatial Studies (CAST). He has taken classes, and was our key presenter in 2003/2004 and 2004 / 2005 at EAST, at the Ca Mission Studies Conference, the SB Historic Trust, at Mission Presentations, and on TV appearances with SB County School Superintendent Dr Bill Cirone. Tim gave an inspired acceptance of the first founder's award presented to SYVUHS at the EAST 2004 conference. His work has won awards and software from ESRI for the school and EAST lab totaling more than $50,000. Tim is a multi - media expert, GPS and GIS wizard and his work was the key to winning the California Governor's Award for Historic Preservation in 2004. Tim found the Mission dam site with a team of other students in spring of 2005. This was a historic first and will be a key piece of CA history. His contributions helped win 2 awards from Trimble and ESRI at the 2005 EAST Conference.
