Students Find More Clues in Mission Aqueduct Mystery

Today brought more developments in the Mission Aqueduct Project. Santa Ynez Valley EAST students Tim Manchester, Kenny Wilkins, Erik Glendinning, Greg Bridgeman, Krista Armenta, Breanna Schlaggs and Alyssa Massey have been searching for a lost aqueduct dam in the Alamo Pintado Creek ever since a member of the community sent in a forty-year old picture that featured a structure. Today, students believe they have located the missing dam. The students used Trimble GPS units to mark the location of the dam's remains. Additional research will be conducted before a conclusion is made. Tim, Breanna and Erik were part of the original sixteen member team that won the Governor's Historic Preservation Award in 2004.

New News Page

Today, Liam Keane launched a new SYV EAST News page. The new page is powered by Google's weblog service, Blogger. The new page allows for quicker, easier updates and can even add content using post via email. The revised page complies with the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Transitional Extensible HyperText Markup Language (XHTML) standards.
3/30 Edit: After some help from some users of SitePoint.com and WebDeveloper.com, we have made this page 508 Accessible. We plan to finish making all pages Section 508 Compliant shortly. At some point, we hope to make the entire site WCAG Compliant.
