About SYV EAST, SYV EAST Projects, SYV EAST Team
  The Santa Ynez Valley Union High School EAST program began in 2002. Since then almost 200 students have enrolled in the course. EAST students design and carry out projects at school and in the community using cutting-edge technology.

  Santa Ynez EAST students have been involved in numerous projects benefiting their school and their community. EAST is currently working on mapping the Isla Vista Cliffs. Students recently won acclaim after their work on the Mission Aqueduct Project. Other projects have included Sedgwick Reserve Trail Plotting, Highway 154 Traffic Safety, AM Vineyard Mapping... Over 170 other students make up five periods of EAST at Santa Ynez High School (a 2005 California Distinguished School).
